About the job
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager, a role that is pivotal in their expansion and in achieving their goal of global recognition. This position entails:
- Developing and managing relationships with key accounts (local import companies and distributors in a retail environment ) to achieve sales and profit targets in the region.
- Conducting market analysis to inform and implement strategic plans and annual budgets.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in collaboration with the team and partners.
- Acting as a product expert and trusted advisor to customers, negotiating contracts, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Collaborating internally to ensure efficient project progression and contributing to promotional strategies to increase product turnover.
- Representing the company at international fairs.
About the ideal candidate
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree, with a strong preference for backgrounds in business or related fields.
- Previous experience in a commercial role, ideally within the food sector or Retail/FMCG. Knowledge of the private label business is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch, with good proficiency in English. Dutch is a plus.
- A customer and results-oriented mindset, with a flair for negotiation and setting realistic, challenging goals.
- Analytical skills and proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Willingness to travel for international fairs or visiting clients.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a passion for representing their brand professionally.
