Today, to amplify their mission and pursue their growth on the Benelux, we are looking for an experienced :
Key Account Manager - Retail & Hard discounters

Your Mission:

Maintain customer relationships and customer support tailored to the market, customer needs & strategy and company targets as well as implement client-specific sales strategies as agreed upon with the superior in order to reach defined sales targets for the assigned key accounts respecting assigned investments, with the aim to improve year on year customer margin.

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintain customer-oriented sales relationships with assigned accounts, including regular client visits by understanding customer needs in order to attain maximal customer satisfaction.
  • Implement customer-specific key account strategies based on input from Trade Marketing, Marketing & Category Management and in alignment with company and Key Account Management goals as well as with the approval of the superior in order to meet defined sales targets.
  • Forecast sales on a monthly/quarterly basis, leveraging on market trends, previous performance, customer performance on the market and client/market input and planned initiatives for each key account.
  • Plan and implement customized sales promotions for all assigned customers through optimal integration of product- and consumer-specific marketing in cooperation with Trade Marketing & Category management with the approval of the superior as well as controlling the execution of on-site sales activities.
  • Conduct annual client meetings in autonomy in order to secure target sales and volume & manage yearly negotiation on all categories.
  • Manage yearly negotiation on all categories respecting assigned budget and business plans objectives.
  • Plan an efficient and effective use of the appropriated budget, as specified by the superior, as well as monitor the allocated budget continuously in collaboration with Finance Team and initiate corrective action in the case of deviations in agreement with the superior in order to maximize key account activities.
  • Compile and prepare client-specific competitor and market analysis as well as updated status reports on the client situation in order to provide the Belgium Sales Market Manager with useful information necessary for accurate budget and sales planning.
  • Review regularly and introduce suggestions for improvement of the logistic chain in cooperation with Customer Service Manager
  • Review with the Finance manager the P&L of the assigned customers to improve the structural profitability, leveraging on product mix, promo investment, category mix, logistic model.

Your Personal skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business, economics, finance or marketing or similar by relevant experience and/or education
  • Fluency in Dutch & French is mandatory; English very good
  • A recent working experience of at least 3 years in the FMCG Food landscape is a must
  • A first experience in Key Account Management is a must
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Pro-active and with a hands-on can-do attitude
