About the company


Our client, a leading global player in distance language learning, is looking for a passionate Business Developer for their German market who will build partnerships with new customers and ensure the long-term success of their business strategy.

Your main responsibility will be to identify new sales leads within schools and universities, to pitch our services and to create long-term relationships with these potential customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the successful growth of our business. The position is available from their headquarters in Belgium or remotely from Germany or a neighbouring country.

Your Mission

  • Identify new sales leads, contact them via email or phone and schedule presentation meetings;
  • Resume ongoing prospection with existing prospects
  • Pitch the company’s services and adapt to customer’s business and expectations;
  • Draft, share and follow-up closely on commercial proposals;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve growth objectives;
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships in the higher education sector
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your prospects
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key prospect stakeholders;
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Ensure timely and successful hand-over of newly acquired customers to the Project Management team.
 

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of sales development experience, ideally in a SaaS environment 
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Proven ability to close deals while paying strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in sales of digital solutions across for the higher education sector Collaborate with internal teams to achieve growth objectives;
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships in the higher education sector is highly desirable
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Willingness to travel across your assigned territories
